ECR started in 2023 as an outlet for the productions of veteran DJ Si Cheeba to be put out on vinyl 45. Starting with cut and paste styles of the New York Latin Boogaloo sound and moving into the Soul-Jazz groves and the Latin Funk beats – with different sub-series under the ECR banner – future 45s will be Funky Rock Breaks and Reggae Beats – reflecting Si’s record collecting habits since 1980s.
