What is 33 Day?
33 Day is a worldwide celebration of vinyl culture, centred around DJs recording 33 minute mixes using vinyl played at 33 RPM, including Slo Mo 45s played at 33.
Born out of the 45 Day community, 33 Day explores a different side of vinyl creativity deeper selections, eclectic genres, and open musical journeys beyond the limits of traditional 7″ vinyl DJ sets.
Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the 33 minute format allows more vinyl DJs and collectors to take part, regardless of style, experience, or record collection size. DJs from around the world contribute mixes that reflect the diversity, creativity, and community spirit at the heart of 45 Day.
33 Day itself – 03/03 – 03 March each year is celebrated where it started on Twitch, bringing the global community together for an annual 33 Hours of 33 RPM vinyl livestream. Across the broadcast, DJs from around the world share their records live, creating a continuous showcase of vinyl DJ culture, musical discovery, and worldwide community connection.
The Story Behind 33 Day
33 Day was introduced in 2022 as an experiment, a one off moment to explore vinyl beyond traditional 7″ records.
The idea was simple: 33 minute mixes, built around the 33 RPM format, released in the lead up to a shared celebration day on 03 March (03/03) each year.
Long before 45 Day was conceived, Criztoz, the creator of 45 Day, was already exploring these ideas as part of the Original 45ers, recording a 7 x 7″ vinyl series including a set where 45s were played at 33 RPM. That early experimentation helped lay the foundations for when he would join with the Slo Mo Monday Twitch crew and then eventually lead to creating 33 Day.
The response to 33 Day was fantastic. What began as a side project quickly grew into a fully fledged annual event, with DJs recording mixes using 7″, 10″, 12″, and LPs, all united by the freedom of the 33 RPM format.
Since 2023 33 Day expanded further, pairing the mix releases shared in the run up to the event date with epic 33 hours of 33 RPM live Twitch streams, bringing DJs and listeners together from across the globe.

Record Your Mix
Create a 33 minute vinyl audio or video mix using:
Records played at 33 RPM
Or 45s played at 33 RPM (Slo Mo)
All genres and vinyl formats are welcome.
Upload your mix
Upload to your own Mixcloud account; or
Send the recording to us. It can be hosted on the 45 Day Mixcloud channel if you do not have Mixcloud Pro or space on your own channel.
