Brian2theBeat aka Bobby Thrust cut his teeth cutting rugs in the Flatlands of Saskatoon before joining the legendary Plastic Puppet Motive to throw some of the most loved parties of the late 90s.
Moving to Toronto, he eventually opened up 2 the Beat Records in downtown Toronto, specializing in dance music and continuing to organize, promote and sponsor events. From there, people starting asking him to play music at a time when more vinyl selectors were showing up on the scene.
Since 2007, Brian has somehow played in several cities in Canada, Playa Del Carmen, London (the real one), Cheddar and now a few times a month on Twitch alongside his partner 2theMony. Musically genre fluid with a love of funk, reggae, dub, old school hip hop, acid techno, trip hop, 80s, 90s, classic dance and whatever else makes you say “I haven’t heard that for a while.”
