DJ Breakneck is a Norway-based DJ with deep roots in hip-hop culture. He started DJing and collecting records at the age of 15, building a foundation in hip-hop that still anchors his sound today.
In recent years, Breakneck has found renewed inspiration through spinning 7-inch vinyl, digging into a wide spectrum of styles including hip-hop, funk, soul, boogie, disco, electro, reggae, and Latin records.
Over the years he has played clubs, bars, festivals, and events, and is also a Spellemann Award winner (Norway’s Grammy equivalent) for Best Rap Album with the Norwegian-Chilean group Darkside Of The Force.
Whether behind stacks of 45s or deep crates of wax, DJ Breakneck keeps it diverse, danceable, and rooted in the culture.
