Joy Revolution launched in July 2023 at the picturesque Little Down Ash Campsite, born from a simple idea: bring together music, creativity, family, and community around the culture of 7” vinyl. The response was immediate and powerful.
Following its debut, the weekend returned in 2024 and 2025, growing into a much loved gathering that blended DJ culture with a truly inclusive, family friendly atmosphere.
Across three editions, Joy Revolution welcomed DJs from the 45 Day / We Love 45s community, delivering sets that celebrated the depth, joy, and global reach of 45s.
A defining part of the weekend was the involvement of the 45 Kids. From dedicated sessions to a standout kids’ DJ workshop where children taught other children how to DJ. Joy Revolution became a place where the next generation of vinyl lovers were not just welcomed, but actively empowered.
Beyond the music, the weekend offered poster making and craft sessions, relaxed social spaces, a VW camper van cocktail bar, and local food vendors, creating a festival that felt intimate, creative, and deeply human.
Joy Revolution is currently on pause while We Love 45s explores new cities and events. The intention is clear: Joy Revolution will return in 2028… if not before.
