We Love 45s arrived in Zagreb for an incredible, culture packed weekend built around connection, discovery, and deep love for funk and 7” vinyl.

The visit began with a guided tour of the city, record digging, and a warm welcome from our host and collaborator Soul Bader, culminating in a special back-to-back 7″ vinyl session at his home setting the tone for a weekend rooted in friendship and shared musical passion.

The following day, We Love 45s were guests on Yammat FM, talking about the We Love 45s movement and the upcoming Funk Konferencija. This was followed by a live back-to-back session at the station, featuring five of the DJs who would later appear at the festival.

The cultural journey continued with the Croatian premiere of Funk Yu the documentary exploring the search for elusive Yugoslav funk 45s followed by a headline live performance from legendary Yugoslav funk pioneers Tetkine Radosti.

The weekend reached its peak at Funk Konferencija, where 15 DJs took to the decks for rapid fire 15 minute sets, delivering a high-energy, back-to-back celebration of funk that perfectly captured the spirit of Zagreb’s scene and the We Love 45s ethos.

Zagreb proved to be more than a destination it was a meeting point of history, vinyl culture, and community, and a standout chapter in the We Love 45s journey.
