On 20 January 2026, We Love 45s made its Australian debut with our first ever event down under, landing in Newcastle.

The event was organised in collaboration with Misschivers, who we also collaborate with on our Cambridge events. While planning her trip to  visit her brother in Newcastle, the idea was born to bring the We Love 45s concept to Australia and together they made it happen.

The result was an all day celebration of 7” vinyl, featuring local Newcastle DJs alongside members of the wider Twitch 45s community. The day captured everything We Love 45s stands for: deep crates, shared knowledge, local scenes meeting global community, and the pure joy of playing records.

This landmark event marked the beginning of the We Love 45s journey in Australia and set the tone for many more connections to come.
