In July 2023, We Love 45s launched its first ever multi day, multi city event, beginning with an unforgettable opening night in Chester.

The weekend continued on Saturday night in Manchester, in collaboration with Mister Salt. When heavy rain disrupted the original plans, the community adapted instantly relocating to Air Adam’s house and turning the night into an impromptu Twitch livestream.

What could have been a setback became one of the most memorable moments of the weekend, capturing the spirit of We Love 45s: resilience, creativity, and connection. DJs delivered passionate 45s only sets, showcasing the depth and joy of 7” vinyl culture from one of the UK’s most iconic music cities.

This dual city weekend marked a major milestone for We Love 45s demonstrating the strength of the growing community and its ability to thrive across multiple locations. By bringing Chester and Manchester together in a single celebration, We Love 45s showed just how flexible, inclusive, and far reaching the movement around 7” vinyl had become.
