On 6 June 2026, I’ll be heading to Lucca, Italy, to join friends old and new in celebrating a major milestone as B-Boy Bright turns 40.
What started as a birthday celebration has grown into a day dedicated to the music, culture and community that have shaped four decades of B-Boy Bright’s journey. Expect an afternoon and evening filled with DJs, graffiti, breaking, good people and great music.
I’ll be travelling from the UK to represent both 45 Day and the wider We Love 45s community, bringing a box of 7 inch records and sharing a small part of the global vinyl movement we’ve built together over the last seven years.
Throughout the night, B-Boy Bright, Gino San and Criztoz will be playing back-to-back selections, digging deep into funk, soul, hip hop, reggae, breaks, Latin sounds and whatever else feels right in the moment. I’ll also be playing a special 45 minute solo set featuring some 7 inch breaks and funk records from around the world.
