Being part of this years 45 day collective is both a first and a pleasure.
Music has always had a massive impact on my life, but it was only through a milestone birthday year and a good DJ friend that I turned to vinyl.
Now I get to bring music and people together through funk and soul. Nothing lifts you like music can and I feel pretty damn lucky that I get to play out the tunes I love around my local area. An early love of motown and disco has now diversified into funk, soul, hip-hop and latin – the latter I showcase in this year’s 45 mix. I also have a huge passion for 90’s indie and love getting it on my decks whenever I have a chance. Remixes and samples feature heavily in my collection as well as pure nostalgia.
