DJ Joey Hill

As a daughter of a Mod and a Rocker Joey loves to spin rawkus rockabilly, rock n roll and hot rhythm and blues from the 50’s along with the sweetest girl groups, nasty garage, ska and soul from the 60’s; often ending the night with rock and punk from the 70’s-  all on vinyl of course!

Joey has been a resident DJ at Joe’s bar – an all vinyl late bar in Camden and spins all over London including the recent Hemingway Classic Car Boot. She also hosts a show on Barrelhouse Radio called Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! show – named after the Little Richard song. Past episodes can all be found on her Mixcloud page.

Joey can also be found singing, hollerin’ and bashing the guitar and drums with rockabilly band The Obscuritones and singing, screaming and Go-Go dancing with Freak Beat girl group The Trouble.

Joey has recently been featured in Vintage Rock Magazine sharing the soundtrack to her life.
