Baz Hickey
The Irish Times label him as the ’45 King’ and Baz Hickey has earned the right to be described as such. As the only Irish member of the international DJ crew 45 Live he covers a lot of ground, always maintaining a hip hop sensibility when behind the turntables. Having curated the Funk 45s night in Dublin’s South William and later in the Bernard Shaw, his 45 Live night at Bow Lane Social Club plays host to some of the scene’s favourite spinners, most recently fellow 45 Live team member DJ Mr. Thing.
Baz is a regular on the festival circuit and has played Electric Picnic, Body&Soul and Castlepalooza for the 45 Live stage. On the broadcasting side, he has provided mixes for RTÉ (IRL), WFMU (USA) and 2SER (AUS).
