What is the 45 Funkster Mix?
The 45 Funksters Mix Project is a 45 minute funk focused vinyl series celebrating the raw power of funk on 7 inch records from deep cuts to dancefloor classics.
The Story Behind the 45 Funksters Mix
45 Funksters was born from a shared love of funk 45s and the energy they bring, raw grooves, heavy drums, deep basslines, and records made to move people.
Launched as a monthly Twitch show, Funksters quickly became more than just a stream. What started as DJs sharing funk 7”s evolved into a consistent global meeting point for selectors, collectors, and DJ’s drawn together by the same infectious sound.
Now entering its 5th year, 45 Funksters has reached major milestones including 45 Hours of funk 45s marathons on Twitch. Along the way, the show has welcomed DJs from across the globe, each bringing their own flavour while staying rooted in the unmistakable spirit of funk.
Beyond the screen, Funksters has stepped into the real world. IRL back-to-back sets between co-creators Criztoz and Sideshow Maule have brought the project full circle, translating the energy of the stream into shared physical spaces, packed dancefloors, and true community moments.
The 45 Funksters Mix Project builds on all of this history. It’s a way to capture that energy permanently, one 45 minute funk mix at a time, celebrating funk on 7” vinyl while honouring the journey, the friendships, and the culture that has grown around it.

How to take Part
Record Your Mix
Create a 45 minute vinyl audio or video mix using:
7 inch vinyl
Funk 45s
Upload your mix
Upload to your own Mixcloud account; or
Send the recording to us. It can be hosted on the 45 Day Mixcloud channel if you do not have Mixcloud Pro or space on your own channel.
Name, Tag & Describe Your Mix
Please use the following format and tags so your mix can be found and shared easily:
