What is the 45 Day Uplifting Mix?
The 45 Day Uplifting Mix is a global DJ project inviting selectors to record a 45 minute mix of 7” vinyl focused on positivity, energy, and emotional uplift.
Each mix is a personal response to the question: Which 45s lift your spirit?
The Story Behind the Uplifting Mix
Inspired by conversations on Part of My Journey, where mental health, resilience, and lived experience are openly discussed, this project grew from one simple truth: music helps us through.
On the very first show, Mark Lancaster asked a question that shaped everything that followed: “What 45s lift your spirits?”
From that moment on, guests were invited to share three 45s that lift their spirits a small but powerful ritual that became a regular part of the show.
What began as individual reflections through records naturally evolved into an open invitation to the wider 45 Day community to create full uplifting mixes and share the music that carries them through.

45 Day is about participation, not perfection. All styles, genres, and approaches are welcome.
How to take Part
Record Your Mix
Create a 45 minute vinyl audio or video mix using:
7 inch vinyl
All genres are welcome.
Upload your mix
Upload to your own Mixcloud account; or
Send the recording to us. It can be hosted on the 45 Day Mixcloud channel if you do not have Mixcloud Pro or space on your own channel.
Name, Tag & Describe Your Mix
Please use the following format and tags so your mix can be found and shared easily:
